It must be nearly spring! Many members have travelled north for the winter months, and some travelled so far north they kept going and ended up in the northern hemisphere, but all are starting to realise that Eaglehawk really is a good place to be, so are gradually making their way back to where they know they will be welcomed back and put to work straight away!
Ben Hill was inducted at our June changeover meeting, and shortly thereafter took off overseas - clearly chasing some better weather, and in doing so found some very fast cars and had the experience of a lifetime - but I'll leave him to share his story as a speaker at one of our meetings shortly. Ben's arrival back to our meeting this week was an opportunity to present him with his club shirt, apron and cap - just in time for our Bunnings BBQ this week - good timing Ben - now it's time to show us your sausage flipping skills!
Welcome back also to Ron Payne, Kylie Rowbottom, and Rita O'Brien - all missing for various reasons but it sure is good to have you all back on deck. Now all we need to do is convince Lindsay and Brian to stop gallivanting around the countryside and we would nearly have a full complement of members in town.
Here's the evidence that Ben is back and has his tools of trade ready for Sunday!
