Work smarter, not harder - a great saying that seems to have more relevance the older we get!
Over recent years we have enlisted the services of a gardener/handyman who is maintaining the yard and nature strip for us. This has ensured that the facility is always in tip-top shape for our user groups, casual hirers and visitors to the facility.
Until recently, the rains (or lack thereof) have meant that we lost a few of the shrubs around the perimeter fence. This was disappointing but with some pretty intensive TLC we managed to save most. The watering needed over recent times has become quite a task and so we have now installed tap timers that will ensure the water is kept up as needed. These timers are programmable and will be monitored to ensure the best outcomes. We have also installed a timer to water the lime tree - an important part of our bar facility.
So, as most gardeners would be aware, the new whiz bang tap timers will only work when the taps are turned on - so please don't turn the taps off!
Our gardening guru - John Jones is now very happy not to be driving across town to water his lime tree!
