With only four days to go (the drawing is Friday, 26th June). It is not often that a legendary wine like Penfolds Grange, especially the outstanding 2018 vintage, is second prize in a $50 raffle. But then, first prize is the 2022 Grange LaChapelle (www.grangexlachapelle.com). This is the second vintage of this wine and is limited to one bottle per person in Australia, hence the price of $3,500. (The wine is on the secondary market already and priced in excess of $4,200).
The wine is a 50/50 blend of Penfolds (Grange) and Jaboulet (LaChapelle Syrah). Third prize is a magnum of Penfolds Yattarna (2021), their premium chardonnay and colloquially referred to as 'white grange', valued at $500. All wines have been provided directly from Penfolds.
Tickets available at www.raffletix.com.au/grangeplus and all proceeds support the local, national and international projects of the Rotary Club of Eaglehawk, with a particular focus on supporting the Harcourt community after their devastating bushfires earlier this year.
