Congratulations to all involved in the Australia Day Community Breakfast. A great example of our wonderful community spirit and the way the different organisations within the 'Borough' work together. See the article below for additional details.
Our members gathered at the 'Borough Club' this week to enjoy a relaxed dinner in lieu of our regular dinner meeting at the clubrooms. With both last weekend and the coming weekend quite busy for our members we forgot about the formalities and simply enjoyed the company of our members and partners and a casual relaxed meal.
A roster has been circulated for the CFA catering, please check in with Eric's email to ensure you are across your commitments.
March and April are shaping up to be quite busy for the club, Dahlia & Arts, Festival of Friendship, Great Aussie Camping Swap Meet and that's just March! Then into April we have the Easter Festival in Bendigo where our members have indicated they will again be participating in the Easter Market with a book stall. Anyone wanting to assist our club with any of these events are more than welcome, just get in touch and we'll be thrilled to have you join us.
It was lovely to see Say Htoo and Pan Sein join us to help out and to meet some of the Eaglehawk citizens. It was their first Australia Day here. They were very proud to watch the Karen girls dancing and looking so beautiful in their traditional costumes.
Catering for the CFA Championships
We head down to the RF Turner Fire Track at Lake Weeroona this Saturday 1st February for our annual commitment to catering for the local CFA Demo. Always a great event and a pleasure for our club to be involved. PP Eric Smith will be co-ordinating the volunteers roster for the two day event.
We encourage you to share this invitation with your new members, their mentors, and your Membership Chair. Their involvement will be invaluable in fostering connections, sharing experiences, and strengthening the bonds within the Family of Rotary.
Let’s come together to celebrate the magic of Rotary and inspire the next generation of passionate Rotarians!
Warm regards,
Michael
