Club thanks to those of our team who braved the weather (which was actually quite mild) and the dust (that was not mild - most of us ate dirt for our evening meal) working the car parking at the Great Stupa Illuminate Festival last Saturday night.  Well done team, again a superb job and appreciated by the organisers.  See photos further into the bulletin.

The annual District Conference begins this Friday evening in Adelaide, this year taking the format of a Multi District Rotary Impact Summit.  I'm taking the opportunity to spend a couple of days with friends before returning next Wednesday (hopefully arriving home in time for our meeting).

With the end of the rotary year fast approaching, the annual report will be produced in time for our Changeover meeting.  Any members wishing to put pen to paper and have an article included in the annual report are invited to do so.  Please get your articles to me (in word format to allow for editing) at your earliest convenience as that will make it easier for collation of the final product.

This week's speaker was PP Gary Frank.  Gary is fast approaching retirement and gave us an intriguing account of his 25 years in business, covering the many aspects of the evolution to what it is today.

This coming weekend is again busy with the Bunnings BBQ on Sunday, so we have enlisted the assistance of members from the Bendigo Inner Wheel Group to help us out with some shifts.  This is a great opportunity for our members to get to know the Inner Wheel members and we look forward to partnering with them.

The Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal is now underway; Karen really has her skates on at the moment and is appreciative of the assistance from our members.  Members yet to volunteer, please contact Karen if you are available, she'll be able to provide you with more details about what will be involved.
