We were delighted to welcome members of the Rotary Club of Castlemaine to our recent dinner meeting.  Our two clubs have had many connections over the years, with the most significant recent partnership being during the drought relief efforts in 2018/19.

The success of the evening being judged by the sheer volume of noise in the meeting room - a very excited and happy group of Rotarians coming together and sharing fellowship and their 'rotary story' with each other.

We arranged for several of our members to speak on the many diverse areas of our involvement within the community and our thanks go to Rita O'Brien, Geoff Gallagher, Mick Costello, Lynne Cooper, John Jones and John Pearce for participating in this part of the evening's program.

Feedback since has been very positive and interestingly, managed to remind us of the diversity of the work we do and the extent of the impact of our efforts.

A thank you to those members who have stepped up over the last few weeks in my absence.  In particular to Geoff Gallagher who simply took it in his stride and ensured the meetings were organised.

A reminder to members that the draught budget is to be discussed at the next board meeting so please get any relevant information in regard next year's programs/projects to the board as soon as possible.

Another reminder that Karen is needing club members to volunteer for our club's contribution to the Red Shield Appeal - contact Karen directly with your availability.
