Club Changeover Night
A fun-filled night celebrating the achievements of the club over the last twelve months under the leadership of Co-Presidents Mick Costello and Geoff Gallagher.

The night's celebrations were underway with the recognition of two very worthy Rotarians.

Past District Governor, Ron Payne, was recognised for his tireless work both within our club and beyond.  Ron's work covers a multitude of areas within Rotary and has been doing so for several years.  In recognition of this and as a way to show the club's appreciation for all he does, Ron was presented with the Golden Eagle Award for 2025/2026.   A recognition truly well deserved.

Then, onto the Paul Harris Fellow Recognition of the evening.  Rotarian Karen Armstrong was announced as the club's newest Paul Harris Fellow in recognition of her many years of work within the Rotary Community.  Before joining our club, Karen had worked within the Rotary family for a couple of different clubs and even taken on a Presidency as a relatively newer member - not an easy task to tackle.  Karen's determination to make a difference in the world and her commitment to working within the community have been outstanding since joining our club, and her ability to make connections shines through.  Congratulations Karen, we look forward to you continuing to connect our club to our community through the many aspects of your work and personal life.

We were pleased to have Claire Davison, District Governor Elect, join in our celebrations for the night.  Claire was thrilled to be asked to undertaken the job of inducting Rotarian Lindsay Walkington into the role of Club President for the 2026/2027 year.  Lindsay went on to give a broad outline of the year ahead and we look forward to his leadership and to his plans already underway.  The Club's 60th Anniversary Celebrations on 8th August and the Borough in Bloom - Bendigo Garden Expo being just two significant events being planned at this stage, and we are sure there will be more to come.
