Notes from the meeting provided by Geoff Adcock -
On the 30th of April 60 years ago, Charlie turned 21! Happy Birthday Charlie!
The club's commitment to the footy gates this week will be undertaken by Mick, Jenny, Laurie, Mary and Karen. Don't forget to pop the Illuminate Car Parking on the 10th of May into your diaries.
Karen has asked for club members to help with the Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal - contact Karen directly with your availability details. Details of the Red Shield Appeal launch appear later in the bulletin.
Carmel is off on a holiday (have a great time), while she is away Lindsay will be stepping in and arranging catering numbers - please help us out and respond to Lindsay with apology details etc as soon as you receive his messages.
A note from President Alison -
I was disappointed to miss most of the social night at the Borough Club, but I managed to sneak in a bit late and caught up with a few of the members and was pleased to see some partners also attending. I also took the opportunity to chat with Ben Hill who has visited a few times lately - great to know that he likes our company!
A reminder for members to check our website diary - it has a complete list of the club events coming up - and a quick way to get to it is to click the 'meetings and events' link that appears later in the bulletin.
We are looking forward to the visit by Rotary Club of Castlemaine next week. The format of the evening will be similar to the night in Castlemaine, with some of our members presenting on the specific projects or programs our club is currently involved with.
