This week we were treated to a presentation by Danny Wells from Rodilesa Nursery.  A local family owned and operated business.  Danny walked us through the growth of the business from what was started by his father in 1985 until what it is today - a great success story that continues to evolve and meet the demands of the market.  Our thanks also for the gifts left for our members, very much appreciated.

 

The Mopars BBQ last week was the coldest and wettest we have ever experienced.  Our thanks go to those members who needed thawing out after the event.  Given the conditions, it isn't surprising to learn that our profits were greatly affected.  

 

Members are reminded of the forthcoming Club Changeover event on Friday 27th June.  There will not be a cashier on the night so please ensure you pay prior to the event and let Secretary John know so he can keep track of the numbers attending.

 

The annual report is well into production; please submit your reports to me as soon as possible to ensure we have ample time for publication.

 

Our club condolences to past member Trevor Lock and Marie on the passing of Marie's sister, Dot Christie, and we extend our sympathy to Dot's boys Greg & Russell and their families and to the family of Andrew (dec).

 

Since meeting on Wednesday night, Carmel and I have delivered the Prep Packs to the Primary Schools.  We received very positive responses in regard to our changed procedure for distribution and all schools were keen to ensure we passed on their thanks to our members.  This is proving to be a highly valued program within our Primary schools.
